  1. The horse trailer (known as the “horse box” in Britain) was invented in 1836 by a man named Lord George Bentinck. Bentinck wanted a better way to transport his racehorses from one place to another.

Because they can lock their knees in place, there is little chance they will fall over (though they will occasionally sleep lying down). Many experts believe horses sleep the way they do so they can get away quickly when predators approach.
  3. There are about 205 bones in a horse’s body. The human body has 206 bones.
